Visiting Scholars / Students
Dr. Lianhai Zhang (Visting Scholar, Fall 2019 - )
Email:zhan3813@purdue.edu, zhanglh@lzb.ac.cn
Dr. Lianhai Zhang is a Visiting Scientist from the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research mainly focuses on the phase change behaviors of soil water while soils are subjected to freezing and thawing. During his visit, he will mainly work on modeling the phase change behaviors in the interface between soil surface, permafrost and deep soil, and their impacts on land ecosystems.Dr. Guo-Dan (Visting Scholar, Fall 2017 - )
Email:guo476@purdue.edu, guodan4@sina.com
Dr Guo-Dan is a Visiting Scholar from Jilin Agriculture University, China. Her research focuses on agricultural ecosystems and mountain ecosystems on the regional scale. The goal of her visit is to study the dynamics of mollisols organic carbon with ecosystem model in regional or global scale.Dr. Xu-RI (Visting Scholar, Fall 2017 - )
Email:dxuri@purdue.edu, xu-ri@itpcas.ac.cn
Dr Xu-Ri is a Visiting Scientist from Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research mainly focuses on the terrestrial ecosystem nitrogen and carbon cycling and CH4 and N2O emissions in response to climate change. During her visit, she will mainly work on quantifying Tibetan Plateau CH4 fluxes and their responses to elevated atmospheric N deposition.
Hanbo Yun (Visiting Scholar, Nov. 2016 - )
Email: hbyun@lzb.ac.cn
Engineer Hanbo Yun is a visiting scholar from Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute,Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research mainly focuses on the CO2 and CH4 fluxes of alpine steppe in permafrost regions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and their climato-environmental controls under the global climate change. During his visiting, he will develop a practical model for estimating carbon dioxide and methane flux of the permafrost (especially the thermokarst lake) on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau.
Xiaodong Song (Visiting Scholar, Oct. 2016 - )
Email: xdsongy@zju.edu.cn
Dr. Xiaodong Song is a visiting scholar from Zhejiang University, China. His research mainly focuses on the agricultural remote sensing and process-based ecological modelling. During his visiting, he will mainly work on the land surface model and its regional applications.
